Today I had the Sonohysterogram. The
following are the details of that and perhaps some should turn away now! Basically
they want to inspect the uterus to ensure that there is no abnormality that may
cause issues with getting pregnant like cysts, tears etc. In order to get a
good look at the uterine walls they need to inflate the uterus using a small amount
of saline solution. This was not fun. Let me repeat, this was NOT FUN! Lol it
was awkward and crampy and common ladies, we all know any inspection of the
lady parts is not pleasant. Though, it was pretty trippy to watch on the
monitor as they inflated it and the best part was when the doctor said in his
thick Russian accent “What a beautiful uterus!” I was not sure whether to say
thank you or ask him out for a second date. I will take his compliment as I
passed the final baby test! My body is perfect in every way to host a surro
baby. Next step is the legal contracts. A friend of mine who is also in the
beginning steps of being a surrogate is going through a different agency and
they actually have her do all the lab work prior to selecting a Intended
Parents. I am thinking this would be the more efficient route to take because
every lab, every ultrasound, every test I think to myself “what if I fail, what
if something is wrong” and not only will I be letting myself down but I will be
breaking my IP’s hearts who will have to go on the daunting mission of finding
another surrogate (who, lets face it, will never be as awesome as I am with
this here perfect uterus!) Thankfully, I am a baby factory and I have passed
everything. Well that is all the news I
have for now! Hopefully there will be another update soon!
